Among Pasadena’s many claims to fame is the beautiful,
and to some mysterious, historic Castle Green, built
in 1898 as an annex to resort Hotel Green.  Now
privately owned apartments, the building will be open
for its Spring Tour on Sunday afternoon, June 8.

More than 15 residents will open their homes to offer
a glimpse into a range of decorating styles, tastes
and many varied collections, each uniquely a
reflection of the old world charm which still
resonates in the building.

While trained docents will be available, you may walk
at your own pace through the original public rooms and
apartments.  See the Grand Salon, the Moorish and
Turkish Rooms, the Palm Room, the old Ironwork
Elevator, the Bridge and Penthouse, decorated for
spring. Refreshments will be available throughout
the day.

The Tour is sponsored by the Friends of the Castle
Green, a not-for-profit support group committed to the
preservation of this landmark building.  An exhibit of
completed projects funded by the FOCG will be on
display.  Every dollar raised is dedicated to the
building’s restoration.
